About Purpose Wellness 

Purpose Wellness, located in Whitinsville MA provides a wide variety of health, functional nutrition and workplace health coaching services in Whitinsville and the Greater Boston area, both in person and online.

Objectives:

1. To utilize an editor that is intuitive, easy-to-use, & has all the necessary design features
2. To improve overall content strategy and site architecture and better highlight services and their story
3. To improve SEO performance in order to drive organic traffic to website to increase leads and conversions
4. To provide greater device accessibility and optimization through Responsive Web Design

1.  Created Affordable, Intuitive Website

The “Done-with-You” option also allows Purpose Wellness to have more control over the exact look, feel, and content they want for their website while maintaining control over their part of the project.

Purpose Wellness selected and created the website, then worked with our team to design pages, add content, select images, and most importantly, display the recipe blogs in a slick and engaging format. They loved that editing and re-publishing is very simple and fast! In addition, Duda proves to be less expensive, has far more features, and is simpler to use. 

2. Improved Site Achitecture & Content Strategy

The old Purpose Wellness website design was dated, and the content disorganized. One of the client’s goals for the new site was a clean and professional look with an intuitive user experience. We have delivered just that!  The colorful imagery and button colors give the site a brand refresh they so needed. We were also able to restructure the existing content into a simple and easy-to-follow site architecture keeping the focus on SEO.

3. Improved SEO for Leads & Conversion

The client wanted strong SEO to ensure that traffic would be driven to their site.  After we did the keyword research & provided it to the client, she was able to easily integrate them into the website and also create content around these keywords. In addition, the platform allows for image optimization including sizing and renaming of file names, url optimization, and redirects (changing the name of the urls after the site is published) what? and the website is secured from the time you hit the Publish button.

4. Create Fast, Mobile-friendly, and Responsive website

The client was able to edit the mobile view exactly the way she wanted using the flexible Duda site editor. She customized the header, logo, widgets, and background images by device. The feature that allowed these elements to be hidden or newly created per device was one of her favorites.

The Milford Area Chamber of Commerce fosters an exciting climate for businesses in ten towns throughout the greater Boston area. From free start-up resources and workshops, to community & networking events and leadership opportunities, we help business large and small.  Our networking opportunities include specialty groups for general business, women, and young professionals.

Objectives:

• Transfer slow WordPress site to DUDA platform & build a robust, fast, secure, and responsive website
• Create a more user-friendly and visually appealing website to accommodate easy content updating & image uploading
• Integrate Chamber Master membership platform into new site
• Create dynamic page to accommodate online events

Created Robust, Fast, Secure and Responsive Website 

Before switching over to the Duda Platform, our client had been using WordPress, which they knew was a popular website-building platform. Unfortunately, they started to experience several issues with their WordPress site including slowness, hacking, and difficulty in updating content, at which point they decided to transfer their site over to Duda through Local Business First.

The popular WordPress platform was very expensive for the Chamber to maintain and update. In order to speed up the site or add additional features, additional plugins had to be installed which at times would break the pages. By contrast, the new site is incredibly fast. It takes less than two seconds to load a page in comparison to the previous 10-15 seconds. The new platform has all the needed features and is by default fully responsive and mobile-friendly.

In addition, their WordPress site had been hacked several times, which often brought the site down for hours at a time. To repair the hack, the Chamber had to hire developers which increased the cost of maintaining the site. This happened more than once during the year and caused them a lot of stress. The new site cost them less to create and is eight times faster!

Updated Editor / Implemented Easy Way to Upload Event Images

One of the main problems with WordPress was editing, which was both cumbersome and time-consuming. Making changes to the new Duda site is much easier, cutting the editing time mostly in half.  The Duda platform has an easy-to-use drag-and-drop editor which comes loaded with features. The text, images, galleries, and other widgets are simple to use and configure. Editing is so straightforward that most anyone could do it without trouble. 

Image Galleries: As the Milford Chamber has many events and accompanying images, it was imperative to have an easy way to incorporate them into their website. Duda provides both fast and sophisticated ways to create these galleries.  The Chamber was able to save money by using their gallery widget, which is loaded with features and most importantly, free. By contrast, WordPress advanced galleries are paid features.

Online Events Using Dynamic Pages at No Extra Cost

There are several events that the Milford Chamber sponsors where the dynamic pages feature was extremely useful.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, for example, a Resume Submission page was designed where individuals could upload their resume and cover letter. This data was saved to a Google Sheet, which in turn is dynamically displayed in a webpage. The configuration is easy and intuitive, and no extra development was needed. In WordPress, the cost would have been $149 for the plugin alone, and its development would have required several hours and a lot of effort.

Another project the Chamber was able to quickly develop was the Online Honors Scholars event, which was created after the in-person event was canceled due to the pandemic. Again, with the help of dynamic pages, the Chamber was able to create a submission form where parents, grandparents, and other family members would submit a picture, the name of their student’s high school, and a personal message. This information was then saved in a Google Sheet, and another page was configured to display the list of students with the pertinent data.

Chamber Master Integration

Chamber Master is a platform used by many area chambers which manages memberships, events, and sponsorships. With the use of Jquery? and embedding of custom code, this platform was integrated further customized into the new Duda website? In addition, all Chamber Master widgets were added and customized into a beautiful and slick website.
